CAFTCAD @ LG FASHION WEEK - Gaudet

The Gaudet show which opened this year's Canadian Fashion Week was stunning on every level. The clothing was sexy, beautifully made, and the styling was creative and modern.The feature piece of this show was the felted wool coat. It came blazing down the runway in fire-engine red, chalky brown with hint's of pink, and moss green to name a few. Included in the swag bag for the show, were two fabric samples of this wool which upon close inspection was multi-layered incorporating many colours to give the impression of depth.

While Gaudet's signature pieces were coats and they were paired with printed silk hot pants, shiny black leggings, and floating organza dresses in sage and candy floss pink. The models wore towering teased chignons, shimmering gold make-up and sleek black and gold platform shoes to complete the ‘Gaudet’ look. This talented pair of designers, Norman and Gio Gaudet, really raised the bar high for designers this week.
