In October 2025, CAFTCAD partnered with Capilano University to present Creating Worlds With Costumes, an in-depth panel exploring the artistry, research, and worldbuilding behind some of today’s most compelling screen productions.

Guiding the conversation was our MC, Joanna Syrokomla (Murdoch Mysteries), who led the discussion through topics such as designing within established franchises, interpreting historical and fantastical worlds, and collaborating across departments to bring characters to life.
