JASMINE MITIQ MURRAY-BERGQUIST

EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBER

Jasmine Murray-Bergquist first fell in love with theatre on stage, but very quickly discovered her true passion was behind the scenes, using the sewing skills learned from her grandmother to create costumes that would tell a character’s story without them having to say a word.

She is primarily an ACD, though in the 14 years since she came to the costuming from the AD department, she has also worked as a designer, set supervisor, truck supervisor, and stitcher.

Based primarily in Ottawa, she has also worked on shorts, features, and TV series in northern Ontario, Toronto, New Mexico, Vermont, and upstate New York, as well as on a six-month touring musical that took her across the United States and Canada. While every show is unique in its costume needs, her favourites are always the ones that call for fun and creative building, dyeing, and breakdown.
