Jennifer Stroud began designing at a very young age, building things out of found garments and vintage fabrics. She studied graphic communications and fashion design and fell in love with film.

Over the course of her 25+ year career she has designed a wide variety of costumes for Film & Television in both French and English. While first establishing her career in Ottawa in the nineties she has also designed for film and tv in Toronto, Sudbury/Northern Ontario, New Mexico and Upstate New York. Along with working in every role in the costume department over the years she has helped create a thriving costume community in Ottawa that is known for its creativity, versatility, efficiency and collaborative work ethic.

Jennifer was a co-writer for the 2025 CAFTCAD Awards and is a part of the BeSpoke and Education committees.
