VISITOR INFORMATION

The CAFTCAD Movie Wardrobe Sale offers fabulous fashion treasures for men, women, and children from a variety of vendors, as well as some fantastic Christmas finds, all under one roof. Scoop up unique finds from an eclectic mix of contemporary, designer, vintage clothing, accessories, handcrafted goods, deadstock, samples, one-of-a-kind pieces, fabrics, notions, wardrobe supplies and more. Meet CAFTCAD members, stylists, industry professionals, and local retailers offering their best picks of the season including an array of goods sourced from film and television productions shot in Toronto. How do I get there by TTC?
Getting to 122 Brock Avenue by TTC:

Take the 501 Queen W or 505 Dundas W streetcar and get off at Brock Avenue. Walk north (from Queen) or south (from Dundas) along Brock Avenue — the address is just a short walk between the two streets (the old Malabar Opera Dept building)

Please note: the Google View for 122 Brock Avenue is the houses across the street, the sale is at the old Malabar Opera Dept building directly across the street.

What is for sale?
Anything wardrobe related including clothing, jewelry, shoes, bags, kit items, wardrobe supplies. Fabric, notions, custom designed clothing, hats etc.

Why is there an entrance fee?
CAFTCAD is a not-for-profit organization, which relies on its initiatives for fundraising. Besides the space, we take out liability insurance for the event and hire security staff. Door fees help to cover these and other expenses.

Can I buy tickets ahead of time?
$10 Early bird tickets for 10 AM entry are available through Eventbrite. Regular priced tickets are also available at $7 for 11 AM entry.

What is this early entry ticket?
Early Bird Admission lets you enter at 10:00 AM, one hour before General Admission at 11:00 AM, giving you first choice on the best designer, vintage, and film wardrobe finds!

PRICING:

BOOTH PRICES:
$150+HST
: CAFTCAD Members
$175+HST: Non-Members

This is an indoor/outdoor event. Booth selection is first come first served. All outdoor booths will include a 10x10 tent with walls.

EQUIPMENT RENTAL/SERVICE PRICES:
Folding Chair - $7.00 + HST
6 foot Fold out table - $17.00 + HST
Rack - $13.00 + HST
Mirror - $22.00 + HST

What can I sell?
Anything wardrobe related including clothing, samples, end of season stock, accessories, jewelry, shoes, bags, kit items, wardrobe supplies, fabric, notions, custom designed clothing, hats etc. Personal items can be sold in conjunction with wardrobe, but we would like to avoid a booth completely stocked with garage sale items.

Is there going to be electricity available for my booth?
There is no electricity available to vendors in the space. There will be a limited amount of outlets available for charging devices, but it is not something we can guarantee.

Why is there an entrance fee?

Why the split in pricing?
As a member of CAFTCAD you will be able to save on all aspects of costs with any event we hold including the Movie Wardrobe Sale. Consider joining CAFTCAD in order to secure membership discounts. Non-members pay the standard retail costs for their space and fixtures.

Can I use my own racks?
Yes. You can use your own racks, tables & chairs or, alternatively for your convenience, we can provide these to you at a small rental fee. See registration for pricing.

Will there be security at the sale?
CAFTCAD representatives will be present during listed set up/tear down times. There will be no access to the space at any other time as it will be locked. Added paid security will be on hand on the day of the sale.

Are there any other hidden costs?
No, there are no further costs once you have paid for space and rental items. There will be no ‘cut’ of your earnings.

Will there be an ATM on site?
Yes

Will there be food vendors?
